Trade In Policy

Overview

We offer reconditioned pumps and chlorinators for you as an alternative option to buying a new unit. This can add life to the units, and also helps to reduce waste over time. In order to continue this process for as many people as possible, we have a few conditions that need to be met.

• Price is based on exact same model pump/chlorinator exchange
• Item must not trip power
• Pump motor windings must be in good order
• Variable Speed pump controllers must be repairable
• Chlorinators DO NOT come with a cell, or probe, unless specifically stated
• If the above conditions are not met, there will either be an additional cost incurred, or the trade in deposit will not be refunded

 

Exchange Model

Our Trade In units are priced as an exchange for your existing same model item. This means the exact same model – not buying a newer model and giving us an older version in exchange; not buying a larger model and giving us the smaller model in exchange.

What this means for pumps: you will not have to change any plumbing, and you can be certain that the pump will fit into the same space, and will work with your system.

What this means for Chlorinators: the reconditioned unit will work with your current cell; you will not have to change the bracket for the box; you already know how to use the unit.

If you are wanting to upgrade, please talk to us first. We are more than happy to work with you and get you sorted out properly.

Tripping Power

If your unit is tripping the power, there is a very high chance that we will not be able to recondition it. This effectively stops the cycle and we then may not be able to help the next person that enquires about that item.

For some chlorinators and variable speed pumps, if they are not turning on, this can have the same effect as tripping the power – we may not be able to repair them.

Pump Motor Windings

The motor is the most important part of the pump, and the windings are what make it run. If the windings are damaged, this will cause the pump to trip the power, or draw too much energy and eventually trip the power.

Variable Speed Controller

We can repair most variable speed controllers, but if they are damaged beyond repair, there is a chance that we are not able to use the pump at all.

Chlorinator Inclusions

Unless specifically stated in the listings, reconditioned chlorinators DO NOT come with any accessories. They will have the power cord, and the output lead if it is hardwired to the box. They will not come with a cell, or probes, or data cables. If you are not certain, please call us to ask.

Refunds

Please choose carefully, as we do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision. Your request may be refused if ordering specially made products, or items not usually stocked – please do your research first. Return of goods supplied as ordered will incur a 30% restocking fee unless otherwise agreed.
